We are delighted to announce that the AA has once again awarded Plassey Holiday Park the prestigious 5 Star Platinum rating.
This is the highest accolade for caravan and camping parks in the UK and is a true testament to our commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience.
Last month, AA Recognising Excellence Inspector Chris Pike visited our picturesque park in Wales to conduct a thorough inspection of our facilities, operations, and service delivery. His purpose was to ensure that our levels of maintenance and cleanliness continued to exceed the rigorous AA Quality Standards.
As park owner John Brookshaw guided the inspector throughout the park, Mr Pike was highly impressed by our recent improvements. The newly planted hedges lining the pitches had flourished, beautifully replacing the old wooden panels.
The amenity blocks were found to be spotless, with high-quality fixtures and a clear focus on pristine cleanliness. The pitches themselves were meticulously maintained, with neatly trimmed grass and well-kept surrounding grounds, trees, shrubs and flowers. Across all public areas, including the swimming pool and games room, the park’s attention to detail and its focus on delivering an exceptional guest experience was noted.
Based on his comprehensive evaluation, the AA Classification for Plassey remains at the top-tier 5 Star Platinum level. Plus, we also retained our impressive 97% quality score – a near-perfect result that underscores the dedication of our fantastic team. Upon leaving, Mr Pike thanked Mr Brookshaw for his time and wished the park well for the upcoming season, confident that our 5 Star Platinum standards would continue to delight and impress.
The 5 Star Platinum rating is the AA’s highest accolade for caravan and camping parks in the UK. Achieving and maintaining this level of excellence is no small feat as parks must demonstrate exemplary performance across a variety of metrics, from statutory obligations and safety standards to pitch quality, arrival procedures and overall site presentation.
