We’ve only gone & done it again…AWARD WINNERS!
We are delighted to share the news that following the annual inspection from the AA Hotel & Hospitality Services, they have again awarded us an AA Five Platinum Pennant rating.
Last month, August 2021, saw AA Recognising Excellence inspector Brain Jones visit us here to carry out a Day Inspection.
In his overall report, Brian commented, “It is always a pleasure to visit this long-established holiday destination and wonder what and not if there are further improvements since the last visit and as usual was not disappointed.”
The inspection covers four key areas being the General Site, Caravan & Campsite Pitches, Amenities Block and Other Site Facilities. There are certain services and facilities, which are deemed “Key” and these are the most significant in terms of guest expectation. There are other services and facilities, which are deemed “Additional”, and these are less significant in terms of guest expectation. A commitment to address these will generally allow confirmation of your pennant rating.
Some key highlights mentioned in the report were:
- Excellent pitch density creates optimum privacy and most are fully serviced
- The immaculate long drive creates a positive first impression for new arrivals
- Conveniently located amenities contain modern fixtures and fittings and provide good privacy options for each gender
- Many retail outlets and activities are available including a superb child adventure playground and indoor swimming pool
- Number plate recognition barriers are provided
Brian went on to highlight the recently refurbished swimming pool, saying “The superb internal swimming pool is being completely refurbished to an excellent standard with new spacious structure, to include an indoor relaxation and an outdoor sun-bathing area, to be hedge screened for enhanced privacy.”
We are extremely proud to have received such a fantastic report and appreciate the detail given in the AA Five Platinum Pennant rating report.
“Further landscaping improvements have also taken place with new holly, hawthorn and beech hedge planting and the grounds team obviously have a labour of love approach to their responsibilities and landscaping was particularly impressive with neat lush grass on touring areas matched by both indigenous and cultivated flora and fauna combining to create an ambience of peace and tranquillity. The many displays of pretty seasonal flowers are also worthy of special maintenance” was also detailed by Brain.
