Go North Wales Tourism Champions

We’re extremely proud to announce we’ve won the Go Caravan, Camping and Glamping award at the Go North Wales Tourism Awards 2019.

The annual awards evening was held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno and was hosted by Heart North & Mid Wales presenters Lois Cernyw and Russ Morris.

A number of the Plassey team downed tools and put on their glad rags for a fantastic evening of eating, drinking and lots of celebrating. And, oh did we celebrate!

To be recognised within this category was a fantastic achievement in itself, but we were delighted to return to Wrexham as winners. Our award-winning trophy is a magnificent dragon made by the British Ironworks.

We were praised for our outstanding accommodation and five-star leisure facilities and being a luxury holiday park that is more than just somewhere to stay. With the array of amenities on-site, from restaurants, a nine-hole golf course, indoor swimming pool, nature trails, to our own Welsh castle adventure playground, it is understandable why guests have been coming to stay at the park for many years and have gone on to bring friends and family who have made and continue to make great memories here at Plassey.

Our showcased imagery on the evening focused on our super-luxury glamping accommodation of the luxury lodges and stylish safari tents. This luxury accommodation offers the perfect outdoor escape which is available throughout all four seasons.

It was interesting to hear from Welsh Government Deputy Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Lord Dafydd Elis Thomas, saying: “I’m delighted to join the North Wales tourism industry in celebrating the best of what the area has to offer – the winners and finalists for the awards do an exceptional job of putting Wales on the map and giving people reasons to choose Wales as a holiday destination.”

Thank you to Go North Wales Tourism for a wonderful evening. And, a big thank you goes to all of the team and our visitors for helping Plassey be the award-winning park that it is.
